GIFT REGISTRY INFORMATION  

There are a couple of things happening in our lives right now:

#1 Alejandra & Brent, being from different upbringings, found out that culturally there are different guidelines or customs on who should pay the wedding. In the Mexican culture, the groom's family pays for the wedding while in the American culture the bride’s parents pay for it. However, since neither of our parents are able to pick up the bill, we are paying for it.

#2 We are still unsure about where we will live after we get married. Therefore, we cannot start a bridal registry since we could end up having to temporarily store or internationally transport the items. Storing or shipping items would not be practical or economical.

Therefore, because of situation #1 and #2, and because we don't want to incur a high debt from the wedding, cash contributions would be GREATLY appreciated in lieu of gifts to help us offset the wedding and honeymoon costs.

If you would like to give a gift rather than money, the most practical and versatile presents would be gift cards.  There are a few stores that we could buy items from to accommodate any geographic region wherever we live. You can even visit the stores online and email the gift cards if you would like. Some useful recommendations are:
